Circumnavigation of the Baltic Sea: Microcamper Summer (Travel Journal)

Day 18

In the morning we realize that we have spent the night at a swimming lake. After we have slept in, we peel ourselves out of our sleeping bags. After my morning routine of getting dressed, brushing my teeth and washing my face, I want to explore the place and walk along the lake.
Suddenly my cell phone rings, mom calls and that relatively early. When I answer the call and hear my mom talking, I already suspect that something is wrong. She tells me that my car has been broken into during the night and that the police have called. Of course, this is a shock for me. At the first moment I notice how I petrify inwardly for a moment. Then I take a deep breath. I can’t do anything about the situation. That brings my pulse down. I am so glad that my parents have already contacted the insurance company and I don’t have to worry.
So I can continue to actively experience our trip and only now and then thoughts about my car come into my head.
In the rain we pack everything together, sit down in the dry car and continue on our way. We cross Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania in one day until we stop near Mazurkis in Poland and set up camp for the night.
