Ms Joh is an enthusiastic climber. One of her trips in 2015 will take her to Kenya. There she wants to climb the mountains and give something back to the local children. The question is: “How can I be climbing here in my high-tech sports jacket and the kids down there don’t even have shoes?” From this moment the idea emerges that athletes, sportsmen and travelers can commit themselves to improving the situation of local children.

Climbing Shoes

Finding suitable climbing shoes can be nerve-wracking under certain circumstances.
The shoes should be as narrow as possible to ensure the best possible stance (even on small kicks). On the other hand, no toe should be pressed – and pressure points should not exist in the best case! A clean pedaling becomes an impossibility even if you have to cry aloud when the foot is loaded …

Greifensteine: Climbing Summer

Climbing on the Greifensteine has a long tradition – already 100 years ago, climbers got to work on the rocks. At that time it was still mainly about the preparation for larger tours in the Alps, today are officially six of the seven Greifensteine as an independent climbing area.
