Day 2

Today it starts! The first day on the water is ahead of us. However, our departure is delayed. Packing and loading the kayaks takes longer than expected. And dressing the drysuit takes time too. Around noon we are finally ready.
It blows a strong wind – unfortunately from the wrong direction … we get high waves. The kayaks are stable and we feel safe, but we do not get really far. It’s extremely exhausting! After 11 kilometers we dock at a stone headland and prepare for the night. It gets dark around 4pm. A thunderstorm pulls up. We disappear in the tent.
