According to Wikipedia, an adventure is “a risky venture or an experience that is very different from everyday life”. That means an adventure will not only be an adventure if you are on an expedition for more than six months or on another continent.

Mikro-Abenteuer
Laut Wikipedia ist ein Abenteuer „eine risikoreiche Unternehmung oder auch ein Erlebnis, das sich stark vom Alltag unterscheidet“. Ein Abenteuer wird also nicht erst dann ein Abenteuer, wenn du ein halbes Jahr auf einem anderen Kontinent auf Expedition warst.
Der Traum ist das Ziel
Josh hat einen Traum. Er will das große rote Auto fahren, die Sirene anwerfen und durch die Stadt heizen und alle anderen Autos müssen dann warten. Er sieht das alles ganz genau vor sich! Für den 5-jährigen ist klar: Er wird Feuerwehrmann.

In newspapers, television and the growing media diversity, we repeatedly meet with reports of people who have a completely different way of life than the masses of the people around us. People who travel around the world set up aid organisations, or rebuild a farm so it is ecological.
We are deeply impressed … and still, go on exactly where we left off. In some cases, however, the reports of other life models affect our emotions. What we heard has met our desire…

In Zeitung, Fernsehen und der wachsenden Medienvielfalt treffen wir immer wieder auf Berichte von Menschen, die einen ganz anderen Lebensweg eingeschlagen haben als die Masse der Leute in unserem Umfeld. Menschen, die um die Welt reisen, Hilfsorganisationen gründen oder einen heruntergekommenen Bauernhof ökologisch wieder aufbauen.
Wir sind tief beeindruckt…und machen doch genau dort weiter, wo wir aufgehört haben.
In manchen Fällen jedoch bringen die Berichte über andere Lebensmodelle in unserem Inneren etwas in Schwingung. Das Gehörte trifft auf eine tiefe Sehnsucht…

Ausdauer
Wer scheitert, der zweifelt oft an sich selbst. Nicht schlau genug oder nicht talentiert genug – so meist die eigene Einschätzung.
Doch US-Studien zufolge hat ein ganz anderer Faktor weit größeren Einfluss auf das Erreichen von Zielen als Intelligenz oder Talent. Was vor allem zählt, ist Ausdauer.
Perseverance
If you fail, you often doubt yourself. Not smart or talented enough – so is usually your own assessment.
