“That’s all your fault!” I growling angrily.
“You are almost there!” sounds from above. Apparently my (climbing) partner Christian did not hear me.
My pulse is racing as I snap for air. Every inch of my body hurts. We are at 4,308 meters above the sea level. I´ve never been in such an altitude before! We stop hiking and taking a break. My pulse calms down and I´m able to take a deep breath.
I’m covered in snow up to my hips. Every step again I break into the meter-high snow cover. Why didn’t I bring the damn snowshoes?
