Corsica: Microcamper Summer (Travel Journal)

Day 13

In Alèria we stay for two nights. It is a beautiful place, somewhat private and we were right on the beach. This morning the wind blows a little stronger and the waves gain height. This is supposed to be Christian’s opportunity to paddle on rough water. The sea kayak is quickly in the water and ready to paddle off. From the beach I can guess that it’s a lot of fun. He can practice surfing and test how far the kayak can be tilted and how it feels to be on rough water.
As we still have two days on Corsica before the ferry takes us back, we let the kayak dry in the sun’s rays and then pack it up.
We get the recommendation to visit the Restonica Valley. As this can be combined with another climbing spot near Corti, we follow it. At the camping site “Camping de Tuani” we rent a room for one night and fill up our water supply.
